Our Journey: From Festivals to Youth Empowerment

The Kingsville Music Society believes in the power of music to bring people together. Founded in 2013 as a volunteer-run nonprofit, we've been the proud founders and organizers of the Kingsville Music Festival (2014 to 2024) and the MAY Fund (2016 - present).

Introducing the Music and Arts for Youth (MAY) Fund

The MAY Fund represents the core of our mission: providing financial support for programs, scholarships, and resources that enhance artistic opportunities for local youth. Through this focused approach, we're cultivating the next generation of musicians while enriching our community's cultural landscape.

The Impact of Music Education

Music education develops the whole child. Research consistently shows that students engaged in music programs often demonstrate stronger academic performance, particularly in math and reading. Learning an instrument builds memory, concentration, and discipline – valuable skills that extend far beyond music itself.

MAY Fund Initiatives

  • Scholarships for students pursuing post-secondary music education

  • Lesson Assistance to subsidize monthly music instruction for individuals 25 and under

  • School Support providing essential supplies to local elementary and high school music programs

Why This Matters

Many talented young people face financial barriers to music education, and schools often struggle to maintain comprehensive music programs. Our focused approach aims to remove these obstacles.

Our Goals

We're committed to:

  • Supporting school music programs throughout our area

  • Reducing financial barriers for area youth to access music education

  • Inspiring and promoting creativity in our community

Join Our Ensemble

The MAY Fund thrives through community support. We offer various sponsorship opportunities to recognize our donors' contributions. Whether you're an individual who values the arts or a business looking to invest in community development, your support creates meaningful opportunities for local youth.

A Future in Harmony

By focusing on music education, we're building a foundation for a more vibrant, creative community. We invite you to join us in making this vision a reality for our area's young people.

Together, we can ensure that music remains a powerful force in youth development and community enrichment.
